Louis Poulsen's lighting philosophy is renowned and admired around the world. We are proud of this, and owe much of the honour to PH, who initiated what later developed into our lighting philosophy back in the late 1920s.
The essence of our work is to create human-friendly lighting – comfortable lighting which makes people beautiful and creates an excellent atmosphere. Put briefly, we want people to feel they are in good company with Louis Poulsen's lighting solutions.
Louis Poulsen's lighting philosophy consists of three elements: Function, comfort and ambience. We use the abbreviation FCA™ (function, comfort and ambience) in international contexts when we are telling the world about the values which define our lighting.
