Mifuko stands with one foot on the streets of Helsinki, and the other firmly on the red soil of rural Kenya. Our colorful Kiondo baskets combine contemporary Finnish design with traditional Kenyan handicraft techniques. We are a certified member of World Fair Trade Organization WFTO and all our products are handmade in Kenya by women´s self help groups in rural villages and in small workshops in the cities of Nairobi and Mombasa. The word mifuko means pocket in Swahili.
